Fashion designer David Tlale said he doesn’t think Gayton McKenzie understands the complexities of the clothing and textile industry.
The Takealot Group launched its subscription service, TakealotMORE, just over a year ago, and is now offering exclusive discounts in July.
The service was launched as a new loyalty subscription service in 2024, giving Takealot a guaranteed revenue source.
Customers receive free delivery, unlimited free Mr D restaurant and Pick n Pay grocery deliveries, and exclusive discounts and early access to sales.
The group is now launching its TakealotMore MVP Days, an exclusive five-day sales event across Takealot and Mr D from the 25th to 29th of July.
After running a similar campaign in 2024, Takealot said that discounts should not only reserved for Black Friday.
The promotion period will feature discounts and bonus coupons for TakealotMore members only. Shoppers are encouraged to try a one-month free trial to unlock exclusive access.
Those who choose to pay the R99 per month option will also get a free News24 subscription that is valued at R109 per month.
Both Takealot and News24 are owned by South Africa’s most valuable company, Naspers.
With the service now in operation for over a year, Takealot broke down some of the most interesting trends it has seen over the last year.
The group said the sales event will run for five days starting on 25 July.
