Gayton McKenzie accused of not understanding fashion industry after his meeting with Shein
Fashion designer David Tlale said he doesn’t think Gayton McKenzie understands the complexities of the clothing and textile industry.
Dewald Brevis struck the highest score by a South African player in a T20 International to help the Proteas power to a 53-run victory against Australia in Darwin and level the series at 1-1.
The 22-year-old was brutal as he smashed an unbeaten 125 off just 56 deliveries (12x4s, 8x6s) to help the Proteas amass a total of 218-7 in their 20 overs after being sent in to bat at the toss.
Brevis' individual score beat the previous highest which was set by former captain Faf du Plessis, who struck 119 against West Indies at the Wanderers in 2015.
The right-handed batter, who came in at number four, took 41 balls to reach his hundred - the second fastest for a Proteas player after David Miller's 35-ball effort against Bangladesh in Potchefstroom in 2017.
Brevis and Tristan Stubbs (31 off 22 balls) combined for a partnership of 126 from 57 deliveries, dominated by the former, which was the cornerstone for the Proteas going over the 200-run mark.
The Proteas then got off to the perfect in the bowling innings as skipper Aiden Markram dismissed Travis Head in the second over.
Tim David blasted exactly 50 from 24 balls but Kagiso Rabada got rid of the Australia danger man before the home side then collapsed to 141-6 in the 15th over.
Alex Carey provided hope for the Aussies with 26 from 18 deliveries but leg-spinner Nqabayomzi Peter dismissed the wicketkeeper-batter as Australia were bowled out for 165.
The third and deciding game of the series will be played in Cairns on Saturday before the teams also clash in three ODIs.
