SADC region gearing up to host 45th ordinary summit heads of state
Southern African Development Community (SADC) region is getting ready to host its 45th ordinary summit heads of state and government this month in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
This year’s GMG Awards weren’t just about the stars, they were about the designers behind the sparkle.
Guests didn’t just arrive, they served in outstanding South African-made garments that lit up the pink carpet. Here are some of our favourite locally designed looks from the night:

Jolache Couture truly stole the show as Natasha Joubert graced the carpet in a stunning floor-length pink gown. Featuring rich texture and a dramatic bow detail at the back, the look was a flawless display of local craftsmanship at its finest.
Sabelo Elkah Hadebe made a bold statement in a structured bubblegum pink suit by La Jaqueta Men- a perfect nod to the GMG Awards’ pink and gold theme. Sleek, stylish, and sharply tailored, it was a masterclass in modern elegance.
Khosi Twala left jaws on the floor in a dazzling beaded corset dress by Claris by Gerrit Pienaar. Dripping in glamour and detail, her look was nothing short of show-stopping.
Reabetswe Fila Ranamane embraced a bold denim-on-denim moment with confidence at this year’s GMG Awards and the style didn’t stop there. Her mom joined in on the fun, rocking a matching denim look that made the duo one of the night’s standout fashion moments.
Naliyani Uma turned heads in a floor-length corset style Dress by William Harry de Beer, adorned with bold red and pink flowers that had us blushing in the very same shade, a vision of elegance and romance.

AzureDé made a statement in baby pink, wearing a structured corset mini dress by Zamaswazi Inventive Fashion. The look was completed with a dramatic ruffled coat that brought high-fashion flair to the pink carpet.
This year’s GMG Awards proved one thing, local designers did not just bring the glamour, they owned the spotlight.
