Gayton McKenzie accused of not understanding fashion industry after his meeting with Shein
Fashion designer David Tlale said he doesn’t think Gayton McKenzie understands the complexities of the clothing and textile industry.
Ghana coach Kim Lars Björkeren insists his team performed really well in their 2-0 loss against Banyana Banyana.
Banyana were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute, which Linda Motlhalo converted and a goal from Jermaine Seaposenwe sealed the game for the South Africans.
Björkeren says his players' energy went down after the penalty.
"I'm really happy with the start of the game for us. I think we were the better team the first half hour until the penalty came. After that we gave them the opportunity to score another one,” Björkeren said.
“That's the problem when we lose the concentration then we give away too much but otherwise I think the performance was good I would say. I think many times we were the better team in both halves."
The Black Queens now sit at the bottom of Group C, they will now face Mali on Friday before their last group fixture against Tanzania on Monday, 14 July.
Björkeren has praised his players for the talent they display on the field.
"I think they are more than just big and strong actually, I think they are very talented when it comes to controlling the ball, protecting and changing direction with the ball for example. The future is really bright in Ghana, with time we are gonna see a really good team from Ghana," he added.
In another Group C fixture, Mali secured a 1-0 win against Tanzania.
